    Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) Set to Operate as an International Searching and Preliminary Examining Authority

    The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) was designated as an International Searching Authority (ISA) and an International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA) by the PCT Assembly in July 2023. The Office has informed the International Bureau that it will start its role as both ISA and IPEA on December 15, 2024.

    For details regarding the fees associated with the Office’s functions as ISA and IPEA, please refer to the “PCT Information Update” section below. Additional information about the Office’s roles will be released soon in the PCT Applicant’s Guide, specifically in Annexes D and E.
