    Bahrain – Signing of MoU on Patent Prosecution Highway Program between Bahrain and Japan

    We are pleased to announce that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Japan Patent Office (JPO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) program.

    The MoU was signed during the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Japan, and reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between both offices in the field of intellectual property.

    H.E. Minister Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to advancing the patent and intellectual property sector, supporting sustainable economic growth, and reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a regional leader in IP protection.

    This cooperation aims to accelerate the patent examination process, promote innovation, attract high-quality investments, and support the development of a modern and efficient IP ecosystem in Bahrain.
