    UAE – Remarkable Increase in Trademarks Registration Quarter 1 of 2024

    The UAE has experienced a remarkable 64% surge in registered trademarks during the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year. A total of 4,610 new trademarks were registered during the first quarter of 2024 compared to 2,813 trademarks registered during the same period in 2023. The trademarks registration in March 2024 reached 2,018 new trademarks compared to 2,592 trademarks for January and February combined.

    The significant rise in trademark registrations is a testament to the UAE’s thriving business environment and state-of-the-art infrastructure. This underscores the country’s exceptional competitiveness across various business indicators. Furthermore, the UAE’s proactive measures to enhance intellectual property rights and its legal framework significantly motivate the pursuit of trademark protection within the country.
