    Lebanon – Updated Transactions for the Transfer of Ownership of Trademarks, Patents, and Copyrights

    The Ministry of Economy and Trade, Intellectual Property Protection Department, has reverted to its previous procedure. It is no longer necessary to submit the original certificate for the recordal of transfer of ownership.

    The only documents required to proceed with the recordal of assignment are as follows:

    • A Power of Attorney (duly notarized and legalized by a Lebanese consulate).
    • A Deed of Assignment (signed by both parties, duly notarized, and legalized by a Lebanese consulate).
    • A scanned copy of the certificate.

    This notification will be published in the next official Lebanese Gazette.
