Official Notice Concerning Agent Information Reflected in Powers of Attorney

Pursuant to a decision issued by the Palestinian Trademark Office, all Powers of Attorney submitted in connection with trademark matters must accurately reflect the name and address of the authorized local agent as recorded in the official records of the Trademark Office.

Accordingly, the name and address appearing in any Power of Attorney must be identical to the name and address registered in the Office’s records. Any discrepancy between the details stated in the Power of Attorney and those recorded with the Trademark Office may result in the rejection of the submitted Power of Attorney.

In such cases, the relevant agent shall be required to complete the necessary amendment procedures to update the local records of the trademark(s) and/or the agent’s registered details before the Power of Attorney can be accepted and processed by the Office.

All agents and rights holders are therefore advised to verify that the information contained in any Power of Attorney is fully consistent with the details registered before the Trademark Office prior to filing.
