
Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry signed an agreement with Republic Korea’s Ministry of Intellectual Property and Korea Intellectual Property Strategy Agency (KIPSA) to develop a national IP strategy
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has entered into a contract with the Ministry of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Intellectual Property Strategy Agency (KIPSA) within the framework of the National Intellectual Property Strategy, with the objective of developing the intellectual property ecosystem and enhancing the innovation environment in the State of Qatar.
Pursuant to the agreement, KIPSA will develop a comprehensive national intellectual property strategic plan, including an assessment of the current intellectual property landscape and the definition of the vision, objectives, strategic priorities, and key performance indicators.
This project represents a strategic step toward establishing an integrated national framework for intellectual property, contributing to enhanced economic competitiveness and supporting the State of Qatar’s transition to a knowledge- and innovation-based economy, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy.
