    UAE – Extension of POA Submission Deadline for new Trademarks applications

    The UAE Trademark Office has introduced flexibility regarding the submission of legalized Powers of Attorney (POA) for new trademark applications.

    The standard deadline of 90-days for submitting the duly legalized POA can now be extended with an additional period of 30 days beyond the original deadline upon approval of the extension request by the trademark office. This measure aims to accommodate the logistical delays that may arise.

    The extension is not subject to any additional fees, and the request may be filed by the appointed agent. Extension requests shall be submitted within the original deadline period and in accordance with the applicable procedures set by the UAE Trademark Office.

    This is to confirm that the UAE Intellectual property Office services are operating normally and without any delays/interruptions.
